Wednesday 2nd Feb - Year 8 Parents evening

Event on: 02 February 2022

Dear Parent/Carer

Year 8 Parents Evening - Video appointments

Wednesday 2 February 2022, 4:15pm-7:15pm

We would like to invite you to attend our virtual “face to face” Year 8 Parents Evening on Wednesday 2 February 2022 from 4:15pm-7:15pm. This is an important evening and provides you with an opportunity to speak with your child’s teachers about their progress since the start of the year.

The Cedars Academy operates an online appointment booking system which allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers, and you will receive an email confirming your appointments.  Booking is now open, and will close on Wednesday 2 February at 12noon.

To book your appointments, please visit: https://thecedarsacademy.schoolcloud.co.uk/ Please use the same link again on the evening, to join your video appointments.

Please be aware that you must enter your own details, and that of your child, exactly as it is on our school records (the system will verify you based on your name, your child’s name and their date of birth).

PE: Miss Pugh, Mr Khan and Mr Moralee all teach your child’s class, but please choose one teacher only to book an appointment with, as they are all able to give an update on your child’s progress. Please do not book an appointment with all three teachers.

English: Miss Warren is not able to attend due to illness. If your child is taught by Miss Warren and you would like a short email progress update on her return, please email the school.

A guide to attending appointments via video call can be accessed by visiting the following webpage: https://support.parentseveningsystem.co.uk/article/801-video-parents-how-to-attend-appointments-over-video-call

The evening is fully automated, with each meeting lasting 5 minutes. Please be aware that the meeting will automatically close at the end of the 5 minute slot. As with any professional meeting, we ask our parents to be aware of the surroundings that will be visible to our staff. We are recommending that our staff use ear phones to reduce any background noise which may affect the conversation.
