Endeavour Pupils Enjoy a London Trip to Remember
On Thursday 27th March, nine pupils and five staff from Endeavour set off on an exciting two-day adventure to London. With a mix of nerves and excitement, the group gathered on platform 3 for what was, for many, their very first train journey.Once seated, Executive Principal Laura Sanchez handed out sweets to keep energy levels up for the packed day ahead. Arriving in London to blue skies, the group made their way through Hyde Park and on to Buckingham Palace, stopping for photos and starting to relax as they took in the sights.
After lunch at McDonald's and a memorable meeting with a King’s Guard, the afternoon continued with a peaceful river cruise and a visit to the London Eye. They ended the day with a long walk along the Thames and across Tower Bridge, clocking up an impressive 29,000 steps.
Following a good night’s sleep and a big breakfast, the group headed to the British Museum. Pupils explored a range of fascinating exhibits, with many particularly engaged by the Age of Enlightenment gallery. It sparked plenty of questions and lively conversations about history, science and how ideas have shaped the world.
The trip was a huge success, helping pupils grow in confidence and independence.
A big thank you to Keeley Evans, Tracey Harrison, Danielle Birch and Laura Sanchez for making it all happen.
