Our location in Birstall is on several bus routes, making it an ideal choice for students in Leicester, Barrow, Quorn, Mountsorrel, Thurmaston, Syston, and surrounding areas. (We offer minibus transport for students in Anstey).  Benefiting from a state of the art, purpose built sixth form centre, as well as the modern facilities of Cedars Academy, students can thrive in a sixth form where we push for academic excellence, as well as preparing them for the wider world.

Cedar Martin is one of the best performing Sixth Forms in the Leicestershire, where our 2024 cohort achieved above national average. Headline figures include: 

• 100% pass rate 
• A-Level average grade of B- 
• 79% A*-C (4% higher than national average) 
• A VA score of 0.5 for A-Level subjects 
• 47% of all graves were A*-B 

Not only did our students achieve fantastic results, but a number were accepted onto a range of competitive courses, at a range of universities, including Oxbridge and other Russell Group establishments. These included: 

• Biomedical engineering at Oxford 
• Medicine at Imperial College London 
• Midwifery at Leicester  
• Pharmacy at University of Nottingham 
• Engineering at University of Sheffield 
• Biomedical Science at University of Leeds
