Cedars Triumph at annual athletics competition

At the end of May, pupils from The Cedars Academy competed in an action-packed athletics competition at Saffron Lane Stadium.

The event – an annual occurrence and one the school participates in every year – saw 42 Cedars pupils from Year 7 to Year 10 take on students from six other schools in a variety of traditional track and field events.

Against stellar competition, the pupils certainly held their own and notched up some impressive results, with multiple athletes securing qualification for the County Championships.

They were:

Lucia (Year 10) – 100m
Lucas (Year 10) – 200m
Archie (Year 10) – 400m
Zayd (Year 10) – 800m

Congratulations to all those who took part; you demonstrated fantastic teamwork and supported one another all through the day. You were fantastic role models for the school!
